Happy

I'm happy today. The girls and I went on a hike at Peter's Canyon for an hour. We took Cooper and he loved it. When we came home we gave him a bath because the groomer couldn't fit him in today. So now we've got a very clean, very tired beagle. Nice. I did some scrapbooking. I've got dinner planned. Hamburgers, fruit, vegetables, Sun chips. Sara is making cupcakes for dessert. I've got a stack of books by my bed waiting to be read. Several of them are recommended by a friend (thanks Jennifer!). I finished several things that needed to be done this weekend, so that's a load off. Here are a few photos I wanted to share of Peter's Canyon and my books.

Ahhhh...Sunday night already? The weekend sure goes by quickly. The house is still fairly clean, so that's nice. I did some cleaning yesterday and a little bit of relaxing. I took a nap after church. Definitely needed, because I only slept six hours per night for the last two nights. Meetings, primary activity, and other primary planning, house cleaning, reading, TV, etc. Ugh! I need to get to bed on time. Gotta go...the family is going to watch TIVOed Monk.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone! We were up until 2 am. The girls spent the night at a friends' house. Dallin went to a youth dance until 12:15 and then David and I had to help clean up. We slept in, took Cooper for a walk, David and Dallin went for a bike ride, I cleaned up a little and now we're watching the Rose Bowl. I think I'm going to pull out some scrapbooking stuff out and get to work. David's in the kitchen cooking pizza and chimichangas, dishing up salsa and chips, filling glasses with soda. He's quite the host when watching football!

I went to the library a couple of days ago and checked out about 8 books. I've read one and started another, but I'm not liking it too much. I think I'll return it and just start one of the others. I can't even remember what it's called.

If you haven't seen Valkyrie, go see it. David and I loved it. What a great story. Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg was a true hero. It's nice to be reminded that many tried to stop Hitler. It's so amazing to me to think that all of that happened such a short time ago.

I'll be writing out my goals for this year later this evening. When I get them finalized, I'll post them.

Hope you all are having a great start to 2009!
